Palworld is a multiplayer, open-world survival crafting game developed and published by Japanese studio Pocketpair. Set in the expansive Palpagos Islands, players take on the role of a customizable avatar navigating a harsh environment while managing hunger, crafting tools, gathering resources, and building bases for survival.
The game’s core mechanic revolves around capturing, taming, and utilizing creatures called “Pals”—animal-like beings that can be used for combat, farming, mining, factory automation, transportation, and even eating or selling. Players can equip Pals with weapons, assign them to tasks, breed them for offspring, and exploit their labor without any labor laws, leading to a satirical take on creature capitalism.

We have edited the server settings to prevent people being able to survive easily without the help of pals by reducing the damage done by and increasing damage taken by players. This is to focus the game more around the pals themselves. We have also modified settings to try and reduce a lot of the “busy work” found in the game. For example, the crafting speed needed to be boosted so people don’t have to spend huge amounts of time crafting or having to dedicate pals to being work horses. The core settings have been kept as close to vanilla as we could as not to destroy the balance of the game itself.
